Welcome to the home of Stellenbosch 1679 where history and fine wine meet
The year 1679 marks the first recorded history of the town of Stellenbosch. It is at this time that then Governor of the Dutch Cape Colony, Simon van der Stel, established the town of Stellenbosch. Van der Stel is widely acknowledged for his role in the development of the South African wine industry.
As a celebrated and leading producer of fine wines, we are proud to offer an award-winning range of wines with our Stellenbosch 1679 range. Our range offers deliciously blended wines with unique flavour profiles from grapes grown on the sloped vineyards of Stellenbosch, located in the Western Province of South Africa.

The Stellenbosch 1679 range of wines is comprised of premium blends and cultivars that truly represent and embody all that differentiates the wines of this region.
These wines are curated with passion from vines caringly nurtured, producing a range of wines that have rewritten history for Stellenbosch wines.
Our 2019 Stellenbosch 1679 Single Vineyard Wine Bush Vine Chenin Blanc won the first Veritas Awards Double Gold award since the inception of this class in 2020, for vineyards aged older than 35 years.
